On July 9, 2020, DIU hosted a webinar discussion in collaboration with National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), AFWERX, Army Applications Lab (AAL), and NavalX. Like DIU, these DoD organizations are focused on identifying and implementing ways to apply advanced technology to solve the Department’s operational and business challenges, quickly. While we share similar goals, our missions and focus areas differ. It’s not always clear when or how to work with each group if you are a DoD organization looking to access innovative solutions, a commercial company interested in doing business with the Department, or a researcher on the cusp of a new breakthrough. We hope that our virtual discussion will help bring more clarity to the DoD innovation landscape.
