Stanford, California (September 11, 2024) - Building on key bilateral accomplishments over the past year, the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) is advancing an ambitious cooperative agenda to further integrate U.S. and Indian defense innovation bases, and catalyze investment in dual use technologies with critical national security applications in the defense, space, and intelligence sectors through a new strategic partnership.
At the 3rd INDUS-X Summit, hosted by U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum and Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation, participants announced a new defense innovation agreement between DIU and iDEX, the launch of the INDUS X webpage as a one-stop repository for all INDUS X information, and the announcement of a new joint innovation challenge for space domain technologies. As a global resource for defense and aerospace startups from India and the U.S. the website hosts useful India-U.S. defense partnership information in one location, including the announcement of joint challenges to enable start-ups in both countries to develop technological solutions for shared defense problems - and identify novel solutions.
