The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the Applied Research Institute (ARI), two organizations focused on the future of U.S. national security innovation, are proud to announce a roadshow in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 27.

Fittingly, the roadshow comes on the eve of the annual Indianapolis 500, where speed and innovation are keys to victory. As an organization, DIU’s mission is to prototype and scale commercial technology at a rate that’s far faster than traditional Department of Defense acquisitions speeds.

Representatives from DIU, and its sister organizations, National Security Innovation Capital (NSIC) and National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) will be on hand at the roadshow to share knowledge across six technology focus areas, including cyber and telecom, artificial intelligence and machine learning, energy, autonomy, human systems and space.

Technology companies, both  small and large, startups and investors are invited to attend. The roadshow will be held at the Emerging Manufacturing Collaboration Center (1250 Indiana Ave.) at 10:30 a.m. local time.

Speakers will include DIU Deputy Director Mike Madsen and National Security Innovation Capital Principal Mike Dodd.
