Pilots in multiple aircraft are experiencing unexplained physiological episodes that have resulted in deaths and loss of platforms.

The Solution

The technology solution, SPYDR, provides a platform agnostic, stand-alone ear-cup pulse oximetry device. The prototype has proved successful at generating, analyzing and recording physiological and environmental data and providing users an actionable warning of hypoxic conditions.

The prototype demonstrated suitability of the SPYDR system for use as a physiological monitoring suite for fast jet pilots to include F-15, F-16, F-22 and A-10 aircraft.
