The Problem This Solution Solves
Beach landings place forces at risk due to the complexity and vulnerable nature of the operation. Additionally, adversaries may disrupt beach landings using mines and other hazards. The U.S. Marine Corps does not currently have robotics capabilities for mine countermeasures in surf zones and beach areas.
The Solution
The Greensea Bayonet 250 was altered into a high-performance, autonomous underwater ground vehicle (AUGV) specifically designed for intricate mine countermeasure operations on the beach and in surf zones. Enhanced with larger payload capacity and towing capability, it is modified to allow for a towed array sensor, autonomous navigation, ATR sensing and edge compute to ensure precise maneuverability and effective threat detection and classification.
