April D. Davison is a United State Air Force Veteran and Contracting Officer for the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Contracting Directorate at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma. She is currently serving as the Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Lead in support of the Department of the Air Force’s COVID-19 Taskforce. She leads a multi-agency team and works alongside the Defense Assisted Acquisition Cell (DA2) in direct support of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to support the Industrial Base Expansion (IBX) of American-sourced manufacturers capable of meeting the national demand in a crisis. By continuously seeking innovative and rapid approaches to acquisition, her leadership and direction of the CSO has resulted in $600M in contracts to domestic companies, creating thousands of jobs, and increasing annual domestic production of the acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) needed to produce medical gloves, increasing annual production of NBR key chemicals, and preserving the annual production capability of 1.7 billion N95 respirators.

April previously served in leadership positions as the Contracting Section Chief for Services and Commodity requirements for the AFSC Installation Contracting Division at Tinker AFB. In that capacity she provided leadership and contractual support for the 72d Air Base Wing, along with five wings and 45 tenant units. Additionally, she served as the alternate Ability One Organizational Representative (ABOR) for AFSC. She forged a lasting alliance with Oklahoma Rehabilitation Services by creating a triad of support from Contracting, Ability One, and Civilian Personnel Departments; securing over 350 jobs for disabled members of the community. Prior to this position, April served in her first supervisory role as the Propulsion Contracting Section Chief in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Systems Sustainment Contracting Division, at Tinker AFB. There she supported 4 Major Commands (MAJCOMS), 12 aircraft platforms, 4 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partners, and managed a $6B portfolio. Prior to these positions, April served in various positions as a Contract Specialist/Officer from 2010-2016.
